Formally known as Dawn Matthews Dean from the Forest of Dean, Orange County, N. Y. State. A descendant of Peter Matthews of the Royal Forest of Dean, England who travelled to America and fell in love with Touching Leaves an Indian Princess of the Unami Lenape tribe. Read her story in "Secrets of the Mine, A legend of Love in the two Forests of Dean" by Ray Wright.
